~Temple Open House~

So, a couple of weeks ago, Randy and I had the opportunity to help serve in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open house. It was a absolutely great experience, however, since ours was the last shift, we didn't get the chance to actually go through the temple. Well, I can always count on my mom. :) A few days later, she called me and told me that they had tickets and that we were all invited to come. yay! So Saturday, after a very long day, my family, except my brother who couldn't make it, met at the temple for the open house. It was a lot of fun seeing my nephew light up when he looked at it. My brother-in-law taught him who lives in the temple so now when you ask him he says "Jesus." He's so cute! Anyway, we're going through the temple and everything is just gorgeous, I loved the star shaped chandeliers. They were absolutely gorgeous. Gehrig did really well through out the whole thing. But when we got to the sealing room and sat down, he started to get a little antsy. At first my mom was holding him and he was wiggling, so she set him down so he could look around. About 10 seconds later, he's on the alter. We immediately grab him and tell him No. But, he has quite the will power, so a few minutes later, and he's on the floor again, just looking at the areas he's not supposed to get on. He's already been yelled at once for the alter, so he steers clear of that and creeps up on the white carpet that is right next to it. He takes a step, looks at me and I shake my head No...then he looks at him mom, who also shakes her head No. Takes a step forward, hesitates, looks both directions again, gets a huge grin on his face, and jumps! Now...I know this is supposed to be a quiet moment, but I couldn't help but laugh. I just couldn't believe the grin that came across his face before he did something he knew he wasn't supposed to do! It was so funny! Anyway...I'm so glad I got to be there with my family. The temple was awesome, I hope everyone gets a chance to go and see it.

Such a beautiful temple! I went with Crystal, Stuart and Alana and she kept saying, "emple" and "jesus". I love the innocence of the littles!
I need to take Lance!

P.S. I loved the chandeliers too, they are gorgeous!!
