Soon I can stop lying about my age!

So...it's true! I totally lie about my age. Not on purpose by any means...but for some reason when anyone asks me how old I am I immediately reply "23". About an hour or so later, I realize, that I'm not 23...not yet anyway. Mostly I find this pretty funny, that it takes me so long to even figure out that I'm telling people the wrong age. Anyway, this last weekend to celebrate both my sister and my birthday, my family took a little family dinner at the cheesecake factory. MMM...I love the cheesecake factory. It was a ton of fun just hangin with the family. I don't get to see my nephew too much and it amazes me how much he's grown. He has such a little personality on him and it's just hilarious to watch...and take pictures because he loves the camera.
Randy, Rick and I goofing off...like normal.

"The Look" "The Face"

And just plain cute!

~Over the Hill~

So it's been a few weeks since I last posted, and let's just say...it's been crazy busy! 2 weeks ago we celebrated Randy's 30th birthday. Since I'm a mean wife, I felt no shame embarassing him at work with a ton of "over the hill" ballons and a RIP birthday cake. After Randy got off work I took him to the Roof restaurant. It had a great view, but honestly, was not worth the money. Perhaps I'm just a picky eater, but I think the food was to fancy for me, but once again, not fancy enough for the money we spent. :) All in all we had a great time. Unfortunately the lights at the temple weren't on yet, and it was ridiculously cold so we barely walked around. I'm sure we're going to make another trip down there, perhpas when we're not in formal wear and look at the pretty lights! Thanskgiving was great, we spent it with my family this year, so we went down to Orem where my good friends of the family live. We had a blast stuffing our faces with awesome food, and amazing pie. It was great. And for the first time in like 5 years, I had the day after thanksgiving off! I never realized how nice it is to get that day off until I had it. The only thing that would've made it better is if Randy would've had it off also. But since he works retail, he had to put in a 14 hr shift, then he worked another 12 hr shift on Saturday. Sunday we were finally able to take a break and had our own little thanksgiving dinner. Since we don't get any left overs from the original, we decided to cook a turkey and all that jazz. It was so good! And now we have left overs to make sandwiches with...yay! I love food!

2 More Days!!

I'm not gonna lie...I'm super excited for Thursday night's midnight showing of Twilight. Randy gets super annoyed with me that when we're watching TV I make him shut up during the trailers. What can I say? I know that everyone has they're own picture of Edward, and for most Robert Patterson is not their image...but I'm still excited to see how the movie compares to the book. One thing that I'm definitely looking forward to is the fight scene between James and Edward (I know...this isn't in the book because there aren't any fight scenes in any of her books...my brother likes to complain about how she can't write them. :) Which is true!) About 2 weeks ago I started to read Twilight again...for like the 5th time, and I still think it's just as good as the first time I read it. After reading Midnight Sun, it was interesting to remember what Edward was thinking while the story is from Bella's point of view. So I might be really lame with how much I like these books but until my brother finishes his latest book..the obsession will stay. By the way...I haven't found a book I like better then twilight for a long time...then I read my brothers! It's amazing, such a different idea and so intense! (Rick...hurry and finish it so I can find out what happens).

~Girls Just Wanna Have FUN~

I just love girls days! Saturday my mom called and wanted to go Christmas shopping but I had already made plans to play with the girls! Some of the girls from high school got together a few months ago and had a play day in Logan. However, one of our friends had just gotten back from a mission and wasn't able to make it. Me and Jessica decided that we should plan another fun day closer to where we live...Salt Lake! Yay! All week I was looking forward to playing with the girls and going shopping in Park City (which Aeropostal was having a great sale...I got a ton of new shirts). I think the plan was to eat dinner and then go back to Jess's apartment and watch a movie but like we can ever stop talking! Like Julie said...not everyone was able to make it...sad...but we had a great time reminiscing about the good times. We went to Chili's for dinner and told the waiter that it was Kristy's birthday so we could get free cake (she's the next birthday). As it started to get late, Julie, Tanya, and Steph had to leave...they live pretty far away. But I ended up staying for a little while. Well...a little while ended up being like 1am. It was crazy how fast time flew by while we were talking and catching up. I guess I should've expected it since everytime I talk to Jess it's like more then an hour when we only mean it to be 5 minutes. :) We had a great time but we sure did miss those who couldn't make it! :)

~Awesome Autumn Fun~

So this weekend Randy and I decided to go to Gardner Village to celebrate being married for 6 months. I couldn't believe how festive it was, we had a blast walking around and seeing everyone in costumes, not to mention the awesome decor they had. After going through a few shops and spending some time there, we went to the cheesecake factory. It was so good...I love the cheesecake factory...and the wait was suprisingly short for a Friday night at 7:30. Monday, we went to the canyon after work because I've wanted to see the fall leaves for a few weeks now and we just haven't had the time to go. We drove all the way to the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon, where silver lake is. I thought the colors would be really pretty up there, but as it turned out, everything up there was already dead...it looked like a barren waste land. :) By this time it was starting to get dark so I made Randy drive really fast back down the canyon where the leaves were the perfect colors! Some of the hills looked like they were on fire with all the red and orange colors! It was pretty. We got some pretty pictures, but it was starting to get dark so the colors don't seem as bright as they were. But...we did have fun with the timer on my camera, not to mention just fun being together and goofing off. I love the fall and it was a blast to be able to spend some time with Randy that wasn't at home.

Six Months...

Well...today Randy and I celebrate 6 months of being married...yay! The funny thing is that it totally doesn't feel like we've been married for that long, and at the same time...it feels like we've been married forever. I don't even want to imagine what my life would be like without my super wonderful husband! He truly makes me want to be a better person, and my life has changed for the better from knowing him. I know that 6 months is not that long by any means, especially considering that today, my grandparents are celebrating their 52 year of marriage. Hooray for them! But I'm glad that I'm able to share my life with such a wonderful man! Randy and I have had a long road but I'm excited that the best parts are still to come! I'm so blessed to be able to share every moment, every memory with my best friend! I love you Randy!

~New Addiction~

So my good friend Stephanie decided to pass on her addictions to me...yup...that's right...for the last several weeks I have been completely hooked on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Perhaps this addiction comes from the fact that it's Halloween time, or maybe it's my obsession with vampires, or maybe it's all the little puns that the character's make. Either way, my evenings have been filled with watching Buffy. Luckily for me, my brother has the box set so I don't have to wait to watch another episode. I'm usually one to get addicted to shows (IE Alias, 24, Lost, Supernatural) but not to the point where I have dreams about them...well, Buffy has changed everything. It's not like my dreams are nearly as deep or as vivid as Steph's...but nonetheless, I do have them...and I'm fighting vampires. Weird? I think so. Last night Randy and I got to my all time favorite episode of Buffy...it's called Hush. It's mostly like a silent movie, where demon's come and take the voices of everyone in the town. It's by far the creepiest episode ever and no one even says anything. That might be what makes it so creepy...or perhaps it's the demons that are always smiling and float a foot in the air. If you haven't seen it, you should check it out, watch it at night, but not by yourself! Happy Hunting!

Loving October!!!

So I totally just love October! Not just because all the pretty leaves changing colors, or the fact that it finally gets to the point that it's not so ridiculously hot outside, but it also hosts the absolute greatest holiday! I know...many of you would choose Christmas, or Thanksgiving...family holidays...but not me. I choose the one where I get to dress like a creep (as my friend Jewels would say...previewed here) but I also have an excuse to eat a LOT of candy! What's better then that? Anyway...I just wantedto say that I absolutely LOVE Halloween!! Last year I spent a ton of money on Halloween decorations just waiting for this year when I'd have a place to display them all. I would've decorated for it a few weeks ago but Randy told me No! I don't get it...people decorate for Christmas as soon as Halloween is over...so why can't I decorate for Halloween right after Labor Day? I haven't had a ton of time to decorate since I've been working a lot this week...but I'm going to get my house completely done this weekend! Yay for HALLOWEEN!!!

Ah....The Sadness

So mi madre got premier tickets to see Nights in Rodanthe Tuesday night. As everyone probably can tell from the trailer...this is supposed to be a pretty good chick flick, not unlike those of Kate and Leopold, or other Richard Gere flicks like Runaway Bride. This movie even has the 4th husband from Runaway Bride, Christopher Meloni. And of course...As soon as he shows up, I think to myself, what is it with Richard Gere always stealing his women? So...the begining of the movie starts out your every day chick flick...however, by the end of the movie...we were all more depressed then when we started. The movie itself had a pretty good message, however, it was too depressing to really sink in. Beware girls...if you're wanting a good chick flick that makes you all giddy inside, this is not that movie! I went online and read the review after I saw it...and they had the same things to say that I did...Depressing! Randy...be glad you didn't have to sit through that one with me! :)

Cats Everywhere

So this officially my first posting to the blog addiction. This week has been really busy and became even more so when I drug my husband to see the musical Cats. All growing up I had heard about how awesome this play was, and...being a pretty big Andrew Lloyd Weber fan...I didn't think twice about buying tickets. But what I was expecting was not what I got. I'm used to Weber's playing being pretty full of emotion, and pretty twisted with the love triangles (like you see in Phantom, and what you get in Les Miserables). However, Cat's is not like that at all. It's a simple play that in my opinion, was kind of boring until the end. I'm sure if I would've known the story line before going to see it would not have been a disappointment. But, expecting a very deep plot and then not getting one was kind of weird to say the least. I'm certainly glad that I got the opportunity to go and see it, and also happy that Randy didn't throw too much of a hissy fit...but it will not be a play that I rush back to see over and over again.
